DB post # 1 – When my brain processes information, it usually has to read a text more than once. For example, when I’m studying for an exam or reading a passage in order to fully understand, What point is being related across? I have to read it twice. The first time I read it I just kinda lightly skim through it and underline or circle certain things that may seem important to me or that I don’t understand. The second time I read it. I have to break each paragraph Or page down and I’ll take apart what each sentence means so my brain can process it correctly. When it comes to having to memorize certain things for test or exams, I normally just have to read it once and then write it down and and after that, I’ll just always remember it. I can’t really explain why but Once my brain remembers something, I’ll never forget it so like, for example, in my past psychology class Once I read the psychology textbook I just fully understood it, and I never seem to forget it. To give another example, I learned the anatomy of the entire human body, and I had to practice it for a while but now my brain just simply recognizes everything and I can recite everything. Usually, I do always think before I speak I like to carefully craft what I’m gonna say and like how I’m gonna order this sentence, in doing this, it allows me to really take a second to understand exactly what I’m saying and how it may come across to the other person. Out of all my three intelligences I would say the first one and the third one relate to me the best. I usually always take in math or science overall logic into what I’m thinking, and I carry that out into everything I do or say. My third intelligence which was Bodily learning, I would also say applies to me because I’m a very hands-on person I like watching videos, but nothing beats the real thing. For example, in my previous psychology class, we had the option to either watch. Did the section of a cow eye or actually perform it. I took it to myself to do both options, and I found that when my hands were dissecting the instead of watching it, I actually learned a lot more because it was directly in my hands. I will say I don’t think I could’ve did one without the other because I watched the video first I knew what I was doing, and I already knew all the different parts of the cow eye.
